Widgets page

There are times when we need more than the content editor can provide with the default template. That's where the "Widgets page template" comes in.

This is intended primarily for landing pages (pages which are used to signpost visitors to particular sections of your site). A good example of this is for home pages. Most of our WordPress sites have a home page that makes use of a Page banner followed by a content widget and then a post list widget.

What is a widget?

We use the term "widget" to describe a content block that has a specific function or style.
