Writing good (and accessible) content
Good (hopefully great!) content should be your focus when building your site.
Always start by thinking about what your visitors want to come away with learning. Do they want to find out about your new research funding, or maybe they want to find out about showcase events you're holding on a monthly basis.
We are now legally obliged to meet the "WCAG2.1 AA" guidelines for accessibility. This may sound daunting (and will look daunting if you look at the full documentation under https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/), but once you understand some of the key ways you can create accessible content it will become much clearer.
